Hammered Copper and Turquoise Necklace

Here is a beautiful necklace and earring combo. I created the hammered copper wire pendant and placed it on a copper and turquoise necklace. The matching earrings complete the set. Both items are available for sale on Art Fire.

Gearing up for my June 13th show!

Well, I am continuing to make new items daily for my June 13th show..Sangria Fest. Some days I feel like I need to be drinking more Sangria, some days I need to make more jewelry.
I am looking into taking credit cards thru a company I found on the web Pro Pay . I have done some investigating on craft seller forums and this was one of the top rated providers. I like that I don't need a merchant account to accept cards on site and all the fees are spelled out up front. I had a small business in the past and the monthly merchant fees in addition to the transaction fees make it difficult for the craft seller/small vendor to make it worthwhile to accept cards. I have been taking credit cards thru Pay Pal and looked into their Virtual Terminal, but you pay a $30 per month fee to get this feature (also on top of the transaction fees). Pro Pay charges and annual fee and transaction fees, but you can process using your cell phone. Yes I said your cell phone! But in case there is no signal you can take an imprint, the customers zip code and process in a batch later that night. Like Pay Pal you get a debt/credit card to spend your money or pay a small fee to transfer to your checking account. I feel that I would have doubled my sales at the last show had I been able to accept credit cards on site. So I am going to sign up and I will let you know what I think after the show!

Look How Much Fun We Had!

Well, the pictures are the proof! Here is a link to a slide show of the Revenge of the Recessionistas event. Click on loop all to view.

Everyone is having a great time hanging out with friends, shopping, winning prizes and don't forget the food and wine. We are looking at having another event in the summer so Mom's can get away from the kids. I am also going to be at the Argentine Bean for their Sangria Fest in June. I will post the date as soon as I have it.

Great show!

Here is a picture of my table at the Revenge of the Recessionistas event at the Argentine Bean Crestview Hills , KY. The event went great! We had close to 100 attend and feedback is that everyone had a wonderful time. The restaurant was packed as ladies began arriving at 5:30 and a steady stream came in all evening. Gift bags were given to the first 60 containing coupons and skin care items. We raffled off a variety of gift certificates and gift bags with cheers going up as people heard their name announced! I sold jewelry as fast as I could! At one point people were 5 deep around my table. The down side...one bracelet grew legs, but considering how busy I was that isn't too bad. Next time I'll take some help as I know I would have sold more if someone could have just taken the money!
So today I am very tired, but would do this again in a minute. Just give me a month to recouperate and make more jewelry. I did very well and am already invited back for Sangria Fest in June. The Argentine Bean closes part of the road off and has music, dancing, food, wine and now ME! This is located in an upscale outdoor shopping center with stores like Ann Taylor, J Jill, Dillards, Black House/White Market, so the customer base is a good one for hand made and unique items. I got a lot of inquires as to what stores carried my jewelry, or where they could make purchases in the future...so I said to go to my webpage and Artfire studio. Gave out a lot of cards. I already have orders from people who were there, and got an e mail this morning for someone who wants a set she saw and didn't buy, so that goes in the mail once I get her payment!
I will be posting some more pictures of the event soon as my friends Todd Provenzano took pictures all evening.
